☎️ ZOOM AI FEATURES ARE HERE!

Everyone’s favourite pandemic software Zoom has added new AI features, as it looks to ramp up its AI offering.

The rebranded Zoom IQ, called the AI Companion, is powered by the same mix of technologies as Zoom IQ: Zoom’s in-house generative AI along with AI models from vendors including Meta, OpenAI and Anthropic (Claude).

The biggest reveal is that Zoom is gaining a ChatGPT-like bot via the AI Companion. In spring, Zoom will get a conversational interface that’ll allow users to chat directly with the AI Companion, and ask questions about prior meetings and chats as well as take actions on their behalf.

But that’s not all. The AI Companion will give “real-time feedback” on people’s presence in meetings plus coaching on their conversational and presentation skills. Don’t like public speaking? Well, get ready for AI to judge it!

Waving to the AI in the hope it gives you a higher score

⚽️ CAN AI IMPROVE FOOTBALL SCOUTING?

Don’t get too excited yanks, I’m talking about soccer!

A UK startup claims to have found a way for AI to find future football stars and is already working with Premier League clubs to that end.

Aiscout, an app developed by London-based startup AI.io, aims to harness the power of artificial intelligence for identifying talent in professional football.

The app tracks player data, such as movement, speed, ball control etc, which can they be used to build a player profile. These profiles can then be compared to other professional players.

The idea being, that if a young unknown player has a profile matching a big star, then you’ve just found the next Messi.

It looks like clubs won’t be relying on Football Manager much longer!
