OPENCLAW
Your next situationship might be run by a bot
OpenClaw – the open-source AI agent designed to automate tasks across multiple platforms – is the dating world’s newest wingman.
And tech-savvy singles have gotten creative with it!
At the top of the list is Ben Guez, a content creator who built an entire dating funnel on social media. He used OpenClaw to track World Cup match results in real time. Then, he auto-generated nearly identical “heartbroken fan” videos which offered emotional support to women from the losing country.
Guez posted these on IG trial reels (which don’t show up on the main feed), and pipelined all incoming DMs to his own AI language app, Canary.
Turns out, you can outsource anything these days. Including your love life.
AI romance hacks:
Posting targeted social media content to entice potential matches.
Discovering hidden gems and planning dates in new neighborhoods.
Auto-sending break-up texts to avoid the anxiety that comes with ending things yourself.
It’s complicated
Needless to say, reactions to this strategy are mixed. Especially from those on the receiving end. Sure, some people are impressed by the ingenuity. But many are turned off by the idea of automated love.
And even if you set the ick factor aside, security experts have raised another red flag. They warn that letting agents have free rein over personal accounts can create some serious privacy risks.
At this rate, even heartbreak needs a terms-of-service agreement.
It’s giving lead gen for love. How romantic. - TL
