Slack is launching Slack Code, a new feature that lets teams work with AI coding agents inside dedicated Slack channels.

Instead of switching between different tools, teams can bring agents like Claude Code, Devin, GitHub Copilot and Vercel Agent into Slack to help build features, update websites or fix bugs.

When an agent is tagged, Slack creates a separate channel for the task.

Teams can follow what it’s doing, review code changes, preview the result and approve the work before it goes live.

What to know:

  • Slack Code is available from today on all Slack plans.

  • It works with coding agents available through Slack’s marketplace.

  • Teams can review changes, previews and approvals in one place before anything ships.

Please see attached: the entire codebase

Slack says the idea is to make working with AI agents feel more like working with another teammate, while keeping everything visible to the wider team.

Once the task is finished, the channel can automatically archive itself and keep a record of what happened.

Devs just got a new teammate, without being asked. - MV
