CHATGPT

OpenAI has updated ChatGPT’s customisation options, giving users more control over how they interact with the AI.

A redesigned menu has started appearing for some users, offering new ways to personalise responses.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Customisation Fields: Users can now add their name, job, key details they want ChatGPT to know, and even choose traits like “Chatty,” “Encouraging,” or “Gen Z.”

  • Not Related to Memory Feature: This change is separate from the memory feature, where users can tell ChatGPT to remember or forget specific details. The new menu helps with better responses but doesn’t store long-term information.

  • Simplified Interface: The updated menu works the same way as before, using user-provided instructions to shape ChatGPT’s tone and style, but it’s now easier to use.

Pick a vibe, any vibe

These updates are part of OpenAI’s efforts to improve ChatGPT as it gains more users, with over 300 million people using it weekly.

Other recent features include live web search and a writing-focused “Canvas” interface.

Next step, ChatGPT starts calling me bestie.
