META
Your AI glasses can now shoot 3K video
Meta’s taking its AI glasses beyond Ray-Ban and into the world of sport, teaming up with Oakley on a new line called Oakley Meta HSTN.
It’s a bold mashup of Oakley’s iconic frames and Meta’s tech, built for athletes, creators, and anyone who wants to capture the moment, hands-free.
Here’s what to expect:
Shoot crisp 3K video from a built-in lens and listen to music or take calls with open-ear speakers.
Just say “Hey Meta” to get wind speeds before a swing, check the surf, or snap a video without lifting a finger.
8 hours of typical use, 50% charge in 20 minutes, and a case that packs 48 extra hours. Plus, they’re water-resistant (IPX4), so no stress if you’re caught in the rain.
Hands? Don’t need ’em
A limited edition version drops for preorder on 11 July at $499 USD, with the full collection starting at $399 USD later this summer.
It’s rolling out in the UK, across Europe, North America, and Australia, with more countries on the way.
You’ll spot them on the faces of big names like Kylian Mbappé and Patrick Mahomes, with the official launch tied to major sporting events kicking off in late June.
I don’t golf, but now I wanna whisper “Hey Meta” to my shades.
