Your 300 saved beauty pins finally have a purpose
Pinterest is adding AI-powered Beauty Guides to help users recreate hair, make-up and nail looks they find on the platform.
Posts with the new “Get the Guide” button can show step-by-step instructions, what to ask for at a salon, similar looks and products to buy.
Pinterest says the feature uses its visual AI and data from more than 80 billion monthly searches to turn beauty inspiration into practical advice.

Searches for full beat make-up are up 460%.
Caramel nude nails are up 943%.
Searches for bone broth benefits for women are up 782%.

Beauty Guides launch for US iOS users on 8 October, with more regions and categories planned.
Pinterest also released a beauty trend report with Sephora, highlighting rising interest in bold make-up, frosted looks, latte-inspired nails and “farm-to-face” beauty.
