Virtual makeup is officially a workplace perk now
Google Meet now has an AI makeup filter for days when you don’t want to put on real makeup.
The update helps it catch up with Zoom and Microsoft Teams, which already offer similar features.
You can pick from 12 makeup looks under “Appearance” > “Portrait touch-up,” where options like skin smoothing and eye whitening already exist.
Google says the filter will stay on your face, even if you move or take a sip of coffee, to make it look more natural.
What you should know:

Filter stays in place while moving
Meet remembers your preferred look for future calls
Fake it till you glow it
The feature is off by default but can be turned on before or during a call. Once you choose a look, Meet will remember it for next time.
It started rolling out on October 8 for web and mobile.
