🇬🇧 UK GOV HAILS AI FOR CARBON CUTTING
The UK government has officially endorsed AI as a solution to cutting emissions.
In an official statement yesterday, the gov announced an investment in AI with the goal of reaching net zero.
“Artificial intelligence (AI) is set to transform the way industries cut their carbon emissions thanks to a multi-million-pound government investment announced today.
Twelve green AI initiatives will receive a share of £1 million to decarbonise and boost generation of renewable energy, contributing to reaching the country’s ambitious net zero goal by 2050.”
Doesn’t sound like that much money to me…
Governments not doing enough on climate? No? Never?

🔨 TOOL OF THE WEEK
Stay on top with recommendations of the latest AI tools to try out - no matter your skill level.
There’s an AI for that.
Okay, this isn’t an AI tool per se. But it is an incredible list of almost every AI tool.
See which AI tools you could be using!

💉 AI CURES STROKE VICTIM
AI has helped a woman who had a stroke walk again, with some funky high-tech trousers.
Julie Lloyd, 65, is part of the UK's first trial of the "smart garment" that she described as a breakthrough for fellow stroke patients.
The "NeuroSkin" trousers stimulate her paralysed leg using electrodes controlled by artificial intelligence.
After first experiencing an uncomfortable "tingling feeling", she said that within a few minutes, she was walking unaided for the first time in six months.
The AI is connected to the electrodes and worn in a vest, and is used for data analysis.
With each step, it gathers information about the impulses being sent by the brain to the healthy leg, and then sends a mirror impulse to the patient's weakened leg to recreate their natural stride. Sounds like magic.
