TikTok is testing an AI filter

TikTok is testing a new setting that lets you control how much AI-generated content shows up in your feed.

The slider sits under “Manage topics,” where you already choose how often you see things like fitness or news.

You can set it to show more or less AI content, with two levels in each direction.

To support this, TikTok needs to spot AI content more accurately.

Here’s what you should know:

  • You’ll soon be able to adjust how much AI-made content appears in your feed.

  • TikTok will use invisible watermarks to help identify AI videos.

  • The new slider is still in testing, but it’s coming soon.

Invisible ink, but digital

Since visible watermarks are easy to remove, the app will start adding invisible watermarks to anything made with its own tools (like AI Editor Pro) and to videos that use C2PA Content Credentials, the standard for proving a video is authentic, though it’s not perfect.

Both changes are rolling out in the next few weeks, but the AI slider is still just a test.
