🎵 SPOTIFY TO ALLOW AI MUSIC
Spotify has made a huge decision on AI - it is going to allow AI music after all.
Spotify has previously taken down AI music on the grounds that it was stealing Artist’s voices, but it says it will not block AI music completely.
Daniel Ek did an interview with the BBC and said there were valid uses of the tech in making music - but AI should not be used to impersonate human artists without their consent.
He said using AI in music was likely to be debated for "many, many years".
Mr Ek said he saw three main uses for AI:
Tools such as auto-tune which improves music, which he believed were acceptable
Tools which mimic artists, which were not
A more contentious middle ground where music created by AI was clearly influenced by existing artists but did not directly impersonate them.
It looks like AI music is here to stay…

🕵️♂️ CIA BUILDING ITS OWN CHATGPT
Even the CIA is building its own AI tool, it’s emerged.
The program, revealed on Tuesday by Bloomberg, will train on publicly available data and provide sources alongside its answers so agents can confirm their validity.
The aim is for US spies to more easily sift through ever-growing troves of information, although the exact nature of what constitutes “public data” could spark some privacy issues.
Once the tool is available, the entire 18-agency US intelligence community will have access to it. However, lawmakers and the public won’t be able to use it.
CIA ChatGPT be like
The tool will allow agents to look up information, ask follow-up questions and summarise daunting masses of data.
