Paying more, getting less, the Claude 4.5 dilemma
Anthropic is getting backlash from paying users after many noticed their weekly usage limits are running out much faster since the launch of Claude 4.5.
People say they’re hitting their caps in just a few hours instead of several days.
These limits were first announced in July and recently made visible through a usage meter.
But Max 20x subscribers, who pay $200 a month, say the new limits make the plan nearly useless.
One user said they ran out of usage in six hours, while another hit 70% halfway through the week after only a few hours of work.
In short:
Users say they’re hitting limits way too quickly.
Anthropic says it’s looking into it but hasn’t fixed it yet.
Many subscribers are considering cancelling over the issue.
Math isn’t mathing
Users say the numbers don’t make sense.
What used to allow around three sessions a day now barely covers ten sessions a week, cutting their time by more than half.
Anthropic replied, saying it’s reviewing the issue and asked users to share details via direct messages, which only added to the frustration.
Some users say everything works fine for them, suggesting it could be a bug or uneven rollout.
Still, trust is shaken, many subscribers are threatening to cancel unless things change soon.
Claude, I thought you could do no wrong!
