Opera’s launching a new browser called Opera Neon, designed entirely around AI workflows.
It's currently waitlist-only, and users will need a subscription once it’s out, though no word yet on the cost.
Neon introduces three main AI tools built into its sidebar:
Chat is your in-browser chatbot, helping you search, answer questions, and dive deeper into whatever site you're on.
Do brings in Opera’s Browser AI agent (first announced in March) to help with things like filling out forms or booking travel, right in the browser.
Make is where things get creative. It can build games, generate websites, write code, and draft reports, all from a text prompt.
These AI features run in the cloud on a virtual machine, which means Neon can keep working even if you’re offline, and you can run multiple tasks at once.
Of course, Opera’s not the only one in the game, Google and The Browser Company are working on similar AI-first browsers too.
This feels illegal but okay I’ll take it.
