💰 OPENAI WANTS MORE MICROSOFT MONEY
OpenAI plans wants more financial backing from its biggest investor, Microsoft, as the ChatGPT maker’s chief executive Sam Altman pushes ahead with his vision to create artificial general intelligence, which will see AI become more intelligent and capable than humans.
In an interview with the Financial Times, Altman said his company’s partnership with Microsoft’s chief executive Satya Nadella was “working really well” and that he expected “to raise a lot more over time” from the tech giant among other investors, to keep up with the punishing costs of building more sophisticated AI models.
Altman said: “There’s a long way to go, and a lot of compute to build out between here and AGI . . . training expenses are just huge.”
He said OpenAI was working to build more autonomous agents that can perform tasks and actions, such as executing code, making payments, sending emails or filing claims.
The future of OpenAI looks strong… and maybe a bit scary!

The race is hotting up to acquire .ai web addresses. With the AI gold rush well and truly on, opportunistic buyers are buying them en-masse to resell at high prices.
Unregistered sites cost as little as £15 to register, but the resale value can be enormous if a company forms with the same name.
For example, One web address, npc.ai, was sold for $250,000 this year, while another, service.ai, went for $127,500.
One domain name speculator bought an AI website name for $300,000, only to then sell it some months later for $1.5m. Have I piqued your interest?
