No longer chained to your laptop
Anthropic is bringing Claude Cowork to mobile and web.
Until now, Cowork was only available on the Claude desktop app for Mac and Windows.
It will now work on iOS, Android and web too, starting with Max subscribers. Other Claude users will get access in the coming weeks.
Your laptop can nap now
Anthropic says the full version will still be on desktop, where users can access local files.
Cowork sessions will also now run in the cloud by default.
This means users can continue tasks across devices, or let Cowork keep working even when their laptop is closed.
The main updates are:
Cowork is no longer desktop-only.
Tasks can keep running across devices.
Claude can notify users when something is ready to check or approve.
Anthropic is also keeping its doubled Cowork usage limits until August 5th.
