🧨 SATYA NADELLA DEMANDS CHANGE AT OPENAI
The OpenAI circus is still in town folks!
After Microsoft hired Sam Altman and Greg Brockman yesterday, it emerged that Altman had entered talks to return as CEO at OpenAI!
Not only that, but almost all of OpenAI’s staff signed an open letter demanding Altman be restored or that they would quit.
Microsoft said all of the employees would be guaranteed jobs at their own AI division.
Sh*t hits the fan for OpenAI
OpenAI is in a state of chaos at the moment, with no one having any idea what is going on.
Altman may yet still return, with staff in open revolt. This could be the greatest comeback story since Rocky.
The OpenAI board on Altman
Nadella’s interview
Satya Nadella did an interview on CNBC in which he said the board at OpenAI must change.
He said "something has to change" at the firm, but did not specify what that was, or rule out the tech giant getting a seat on the board.
"At this point, I think it's very, very clear that something has to change around the governance," said Mr Nadella.
"We'll have a good dialogue with their board on that."
OUR VIEW:
The fun just doesn’t end. I think we’re about to see Mr Altman restored to the throne at OpenAI. So long, current OpenAI board members.

Artificial intelligence could enable millions of workers to move to a four-day week by 2033, according to a new study.
The report from the think tank Autonomy found that projected productivity gains from the introduction of AI could reduce the working week from 40 to 32 hours for 28% of the workforce – 8.8 million people in Britain and 35 million in the US – while maintaining pay and performance.
LLMs to the rescue?
Supposedly, these gains can come from bringing in LLMs (large language models), like ChatGPT into every workforce.
The study claims that 88% of workers in the UK could see their hours cut by AI, with calls to use AI to improve work-life balance.
OUR VIEW:
It sounds great, but I wouldn’t bank on it. Why would business owners use AI to maintain productivity levels rather than improve them?
