✅ MIDJOURNEY ALPHA IS OUT!
Midjourney has finally released itself from the shackles of Discord.
Midjourney’s alpha website is here, allowing some users to generate images in a standalone web interference, totally separate to Discord.
Is this a big deal?
Yes! Midjourney is the best image gen in our opinion - we use it daily, including for our featured images here on Mindstream.
However, its troublesome barrier to entry through Discord has made wider adoption impossible thus far.
But the new web app showcases a tool which is far easier to use!
Compared to Discord, it offers a simpler interface where you can set parameters like aspect ratio, chaos, or style using sliders and tags.
You can also insert images into a prompt with just a single click.

If you've generated 10k or more images you should have access.
This is still the alpha, so things may change a bit. But here is a quick look at image creation on the web.

What’s the catch?
For now, it’s only open to super users who have generated more than 10,000 images! Not even we qualify for that…
This site had been long rumoured (like, a YEAR), so I wouldn’t hold your breath about a general release any time soon…
The Midjourney guys like to take it nice and slow…
Once they crack how to do text as well as DALL-E, Midjourney will be the undisputed image gen GOAT.

😬 ALTMAN WARNS ON AI FOR 2024 ELECTION
Sam Altman has warned AI will be used to try an sway voters in next year’s presidential election.
He worries a highly emotive AI-powered message could cut through and mislead voters.
This is just the beginning…
Troll farms?
Sam has cautioned AI presents potent tools for those looking to sway an election, enabling techniques far more sophisticated than currently available.
Altman told the audience at the Time magazine gala in New York City that the prospect was 'quite challenging'.
He warned that troll farms in foreign countries are 'trying to interfere with elections'.
Get ready for 2024…
How would AI change this? Altman says:
'What if an AI reads everything you have ever written online - every tweet, every article, every everything?
And right at the exact moment sends you one message, customized just for you, that really changes how you think about the world.
