😳 MICROSOFT’S HUGE AI F*CK UP!
Microsoft’s big-brained AI engineers have accidentally dropped the ball in a major way!
In uploading a bucket of open source AI training data, engineers accidentally exposed tens of terabytes of sensitive data, including private keys and passwords - D’oh!
The shocking slip-up included 38 TERABYTES of sensitive information, including the personal backups of two Microsoft employees’ personal computers.
The data also contained other sensitive personal data, including passwords to Microsoft services, secret keys and more than 30,000 internal Microsoft Teams messages from hundreds of Microsoft employees.

This might be the biggest f*ck up so far by a major tech company on AI!
But it gets worse…
The site was also misconfigured to allow “full control” rather than “read-only” permissions, which meant anyone who knew where to look could potentially delete, replace and inject malicious content into them. Sounds like someone is getting fired…

🇪🇺 EU HOLD AI TALKS WITH CHINA!
The EU has held talks with China on a range of topics including AI and data.
The talks took place yesterday in Beijing as part of a digital dialogue agreement, the first of such talks in three years.
The talks on Monday covered key issues including platforms and data regulation, AI, and cross-border flow of industrial data, China and the EU said.
It remains to be seen what impact, if any, these talks will have. It is interesting to note that it comes after China is potentially going to be kicked out of the big AI summit taking place in the UK in November.
Could this mean the EU is pursuing more friendly AI relations with China than the UK and US?
