🖼️ MICROSOFT PAINT ADDS AI IMAGE GEN!
Ah, Microsoft Paint. 7 Year old me’s favourite software.
Not where you’d expect the frontier of artificial intelligence to be...
But that’s exactly what’s happened! Microsoft has added a new AI image generator inside the legendary app!
Cocreator is here!
Called Cocreator, the image generator is powered by DALL-E 3, lets users type in whatever they want to generate and pick a style.
Previously only available to Windows Insiders, your Windows 11 Paint app should have Cocreator built-in right now!

Cocreator in action - from Microsoft.
Isn’t it glorious?
Much more to come from Microsoft
Microsoft is pushing AI hard now, inside all of it’s products. I guess that’s the benefit of owning 49% of OpenAI.
Copilot is already firmly embedded into Windows 11, as well as other offerings like Office 365.
With Paint and DALL-E, this seems like a match made in heaven.
OUR VIEW:
Who isn’t going to go and try this? Come on guys. Time to open paint for the first time since 2007.

📊 POLL OF THE DAY
Vote below and submit your opinions for a chance to be featured tomorrow!
When's the last time you used Microsoft Paint?
Yesterday’s Poll:
“1 Year into ChatGPT - do you love it or hate it?”

Our Reader’s Thoughts
“I have used ChatGPT to do first level medical information necessary to speak with doctors. I have used to help friends and relatives gather their thoughts for various projects. Excellent tool for development of thoughts and projects.”
- wfrmetering
“Simple answer: it works pretty darn well. Longer answer: I find it very useful for brainstorming, outlining and first drafts. It's saved me a lot of time and is easy to use (if you know how to prompt it, of course).” - Dkasrel

🤖 PROMPT TIP TO TRY TODAY
Every Friday we give you a simple, actionable prompt tip to try over the weekend to get better at using AI.
Seeds in DALL-E
If you like the output of an image in DALL-E, but want to make some small variations or another image in the same style, ask for it to use the same seed. This should give highly consistent results.

💡AI-NSPIRATIONAL QUOTE
The winds of change may be fierce, but they carry you to new horizons; adjust your sails and embrace the adventure.

✅ MICROSOFT OFFICIALLY ON OPENAI BOARD
It’s official!
Sam Altman is back as CEO at OpenAI, and Microsoft is on the board. Whoop whoop!
“I have never been more excited about the future,” Altman said in a memo to employees.
“I am extremely grateful for everyone’s hard work in an unclear and unprecedented situation, and I believe our resilience and spirit set us apart in the industry. I feel so, so good about our probability of success for achieving our mission.” Spare us the soppy stuff, Sam.
Are Microsoft now running the show?
Not really, as it turns out.
Microsoft is getting a non-voting observer seat on the nonprofit board that controls OpenAI.
So they’ll be watching… always watching.

Now, three of the four board members who decided to suddenly fire Altman are gone.
OpenAI’s new board consists of chair Bret Taylor, Larry Summers, and Adam D’Angelo, the only remaining holdout from the previous board.
OUR VIEW:
OpenAI are back on track! Let’s see if their terrifying secret discovery comes out soon…
