AI CYBERSECURITY
Metro Bank has launched a free scam detection service, powered by AI tool Ask Silver.
The service lets customers check suspicious emails, websites, letters or leaflets in real time by sending a photo or screenshot via WhatsApp.
The tool scans the content using AI to flag potential scams.
If a risk is found, it sends a scam alert and offers safety advice.
It also reports the case to the relevant authorities, saving users the hassle and helping tackle fraud on a wider scale.
The move comes as scams become harder to spot.
Fraudsters often pose as trusted companies, pressuring victims into quick decisions.
Metro Bank says this new tool acts as a fast and simple line of defence.
