🥊 META FIGHTING AI POLITICAL DEEPFAKES
Meta has announced that political advertisers will have to flag when they have used AI in their advertising, in an attempt to tackle deepfakes and misinformation, with many elections including the US presidential election taking place next year.
From January, adverts related to politics, elections or social issues will have to declare any digitally altered image or video.
He stands by his word.
The worldwide policy will be moderated by a mix of human and AI fact-checkers.
So what counts as an AI deepfake? Meta says changing what somebody has said in a video, altering images or footage of real events, and depicting real-looking people who do not exist.
Users will be notified when adverts have been marked as being digitally changed.

😮 NVIDIA SECRETLY MAKING AI CHIPS FOR CHINA
Nvidia is trying to circumvent US export rules for AI chips, by designing special new chips just for the Chinese market.
Nvidia has developed three new chips tailored for China that aim to meet the region’s growing demand for artificial intelligence technology while complying with US export controls.
This is the second time that Nvidia has redesigned its chips to continue selling in China.
The chips have reportedly by nerfed so that they comply with the regulations, but use a proportionally smaller amount of power, meaning they can presumably be stacked for the equivalent power and performance to the bigger chips.
Will the US respond in kind by banning these all well
