🌍 HUGE AI PACT SIGNED

14 countries have signed a new AI pact, including the US, the UK, and many major European countries - although China hasn’t.

In a 20-page document unveiled on Sunday, the 18 countries agreed that companies designing and using AI need to develop and deploy it in a way that keeps customers and the wider public safe from misuse.

So who signed?

In addition to the US and UK, the 18 countries that signed on to the new guidelines include Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Poland, Australia, Chile, Israel, Nigeria and Singapore.

The document details how to stop AI tech from being hijacked by bad actors and used for nefarious reasons.

Another toothless proposal?

The agreement is non-binding and carries mostly general recommendations such as monitoring AI systems for abuse, protecting data from tampering and vetting software suppliers.

This is the latest in a long line of new agreements - but critics are saying it’s yet another meaningless document that won’t lead to any change.

Is it all talk and no action?

OUR VIEW:

This agreement will probably have zero impact on AI development whatsoever. China didn’t even sign it.

🚀 MAGICALLY CREATE VIDEO DOCUMENTATION WITH AI

We all have that one colleague who keeps asking the same thing over and over again, no matter how many times we explain it to them.

It’s time you let AI do the explaining instead of you. Guidde is an AI-powered tool that helps you explain the most complex tasks in seconds with AI-generated documentation!

Simply click capture on the browser extension and the app will automatically generate step-by-step video guides complete with visuals, voiceover and call to actions.

Guidde is used and trusted by 20,000+ users. And they’re rated 5/5 stars on the Google Chrome store.

✏️ TEACHERS USING AI FOR MARKING

Teachers are using AI to save time when marking children’s work, a new report claims.

They are also leaning on AI to automate tasks like adapting the reading age of texts, making handouts, and writing emails to parents.

Supposedly, only a smaller number admitted to using it for grading work.

AI teaching is here to stay

Teachers said it gave them more time to do "more impactful" work.

But the report also warned that AI can produce unreliable or biased content - are kids going to be punished by AI hallucinations? It’s going to happen at least a few times, right?

Most teachers said they were generally optimistic about the use of AI to improve teaching in the future.

OUR VIEW:

AI custom-tailored homework is the future and i’m all for it - sorry kids.
