💥 HUGE AI BREAKTHROUGH
Scientists have announced a shocking AI breakthrough - they’ve found that AI models can produce outputs beyond human knowledge.
The researchers claim to have made the world’s first scientific discovery using a large language model - that is, the AI itself made the discovery.

The finding emerged from Google DeepMind, where scientists are investigating whether LLMs can do more than repurpose information learned in training and come up with new insights.
“When we started the project there was no indication that it would produce something that’s genuinely new,” said Pushmeet Kohli, the head of AI science at DeepMind.
“As far as we know, this is the first time that a genuine, new scientific discovery has been made by a large language model.”
This all suggests that AI models can actually generate new information - something that was assumed impossible, at this stage at least.

Is this what Altman was hiding?
Remember the rumour that OpenAI had stumbled upon something terrifying?
Well, this could be it. OpenAI hasn’t said anything publicly, but their model might have done the same - especially after the rumour was that it had figured out how to solve mathematical problems independently.
The implications of this could be huge, AI might be smarter than we ever thought possible…

They released a long teaser on X:

Everything AI, except the news!
They were quick to clarify that it would not constitute stories generated by AI, but instead use “trusted news sources” from across the globe to gather and collate information into its segments. It claims its goal is to provide “accurate, unbiased news.”
Also, the news anchors featured on the channel will also be AI-generated. The presenters in the teaser video said they are “powered by sophisticated technology” and can speak in any language on cue.
Sounds cool - but how
will it perform in reality?
