Grok’s move to mobile changes everything

GROK

Elon Musk’s AI company, xAI, has released a standalone iOS app for its chatbot, Grok.

Previously, it was only available to X users, but the app is now live in countries including the US, Australia, and India.

The app uses generative AI to rewrite text, summarise long paragraphs, answer questions, and create images from text prompts.

Users can also upload photos for analysis. It works with real-time data from the web and X.

Here’s what you should know:

  • Grok can rewrite text, summarise content, answer questions, and generate images.

  • It was first only for X’s paying subscribers but is now free for everyone.

  • A website, Grok.com, will soon offer web-based access.

From X-clusive to Free

xAI calls Grok a “truthful, useful, and curious” AI assistant that provides answers, creates images, and gives insights.

Its image generator focuses on photorealistic results and allows the use of public figures and copyrighted materials with few restrictions.

A new website, Grok.com, is being developed to expand access, though it currently shows a “coming soon” message.

This move aims to make Grok available to more users beyond the app.

Enjoy the copyright-free restrictions while they last!
