AI TECH
The Mindstream team is at INBOUND this week, and we were there to watch HubSpot launch its new AI suite in person!
Breeze is the name of the new feature set, which is designed to increase sales through personalisation, data enrichment, and content generation.
On top of this, a new “copilot” inside HubSpot will offer personalised suggestions and help manage and close leads more effectively.
Far from replacing humans, Co-founder and CTO Dharmesh Shah outlined his vision of AI enhancing us, not replacing us. So relax guys - your job is safe.
Here’s what you should know:
HubSpot has launched new AI features centred around data enrichment and personalising outreach.
AI will enhance us, not replace us, says Co-founder Dharmesh Shah.
AI Agents can automate entire workflows.

The year of AI agents
If last year was the year of the chatbot, this next year will be the year of AI agents.
Agents can automate entire workflows, from content generation to scheduling posts without human input. That’s gonna save a lot of time.
The new agent.ai platform is HubSpot founder Dharmesh’s latest project and is the first professional platform for AI agents. Picture GPTs on steroids.
Agents can actually instruct other agents, meaning you can use them as building blocks to create complicated workflows specific to your use case.
It’s kind of like Inception, but it actually makes sense.

OPENAI
OpenAI is turning its Safety and Security Committee into an independent "Board Oversight Committee" with the power to delay model launches if there are safety concerns.
This change came after a 90-day review of the company’s safety processes.
The committee, led by Zico Kolter, includes Adam D’Angelo, Paul Nakasone, and Nicole Seligman.
They will receive updates from company leaders about safety checks for major model releases.
Along with the full board, they have the authority to delay any model launch until safety issues are fully addressed.
The full board will also get regular updates on safety and security matters.
Although this board is described as independent, all its members also sit on OpenAI’s main board of directors, which raises questions about how separate it really is.
CEO Sam Altman used to be on the safety committee but isn’t anymore.
Here are some key findings:
The new board has the power to delay model launches if safety concerns exist.
The full board will receive regular updates on safety and security issues.
OpenAI is aiming for more industry collaboration and greater transparency in safety efforts.
A new safety sheriff in town
This approach is similar to Meta’s Oversight Board, which reviews decisions on content policy.
However, unlike Meta, OpenAI’s board members have roles on both the safety committee and the main board.
The review also prompted OpenAI to seek more ways to collaborate with others in the industry, share more information about its safety efforts, and allow more independent testing of its systems.
Do you love the transparency vibes?

Safer, for sure. - 31%

“Safer in countries where there is a real democracy (such as ... github). AI can control behaviour, but it can also control itself. But anxious at the same time as the same tools can be programmed to do evil, and china, russia or the US could decide to (ab)use the tools against the people.” - cver
