Google Chrome has appointed itself your secretary

Google is upgrading Chrome’s autofill feature with AI, allowing the browser to pull information from Gmail to help users complete online forms.

The update builds on Google’s Personal Intelligence feature, which already lets Gemini connect to Google apps and retrieve information.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Chrome can suggest flight confirmation numbers, membership IDs, tracking details, order numbers and contact information from Gmail.

  • The feature is optional and can be enabled in Chrome’s settings. Google says sensitive information is encrypted.

  • The update is rolling out to US users on desktop and through Gemini in Chrome on iOS and Android.

A promotion nobody applied for

Instead of searching through emails for booking details or reference numbers, Chrome can now suggest the information directly when filling out forms.

The upgrade could make Chrome more convenient while encouraging users to stay within Google's growing AI ecosystem.

Okay love that but can you STOP UPDATING EVERY 5 MINUTES? Thanks. - MG
