SNAPCHAT
Snapchat is introducing Sponsored AI Lenses, a new ad format that uses generative AI to create more immersive brand experiences.
It builds on the platform’s existing sponsored lens feature but replaces traditional 3D design with ready-made AI templates, making production faster and more flexible.
Here’s how it works:
Users take a selfie, and the AI drops them into preset scenes using Snap’s own technology.
Each Lens can generate up to 10 different looks, designed to feel more interactive and playful than standard ads.
No need for special effects, the AI handles the creative.
10 versions of you, just for fun
Brands like Tinder and Uber have already tried it out.
Tinder ran a lens that created a “My 2025 Dating Vibe” image, while Uber gave theirs a Thanksgiving spin.
Snap says users spent more time engaging with these AI Lenses than with regular ones.
It’s all part of Snap’s bigger move into generative AI, following recent launches like video AI Lenses and a mobile text-to-image model set to power new features soon.
Just got AI-ed into a fake Thanksgiving dinner with Uber.
