AMAZON

Goodbye browsing, hello scanning

Amazon has launched Lens Live, a new AI-powered feature that lets you shop just by pointing your camera at things around you.

Rolling out first on the Amazon Shopping app for iOS, it uses object detection to instantly recognise products and match them with Amazon’s marketplace.

Once it spots a match, you’ll see similar items in a swipeable carousel, with quick options to add them to your cart or wishlist.

Here’s what you should know:

  • Lens Live scans real-world items and finds matching products instantly.

  • Powered by Rufus for quick summaries and answers.

  • Available on iOS now, with wider rollout planned in the coming weeks.

The feature also brings in Amazon’s AI assistant Rufus, which can summarise product details and answer your questions on the spot.

It’s a bit like Google’s Gemini Live, except Amazon’s version is designed to push you straight to “buy.”

Can’t trust myself with this feature, goodbye, savings.
