Gap just made history, as the first fashion retailer to integrate checkout directly into an AI chatbot. Google’s Gemini, to be exact. 

Gone are the days of searching, scrolling, and opening a new browser to proceed with purchase. You can now discover and buy products from Gap brands without ever leaving the chat. This means you can complete your purchase directly in Google’s AI search or the Gemini app.  

Have a question about which size to order? That’s covered too. Using Bold Metrics, Gap is “embedding predictive fit guidance directly into AI-driven shopping flows.” 

Translation: Gemini is now part stylist, part salesperson.
