💪 FEATURE: THE FUTURE OF MINDSTREAM
Something a little different today. We have a feature from Mindstream co-founder Adam about the future of Mindstream and the progress we’ve made so far. Take it away, Adam:
Today is my last day in my 9-5… This is the story of how I built a profitable business.
May 24th. I was frustrated, my eCom business had hit a wall. I thought this business was the thing I was looking for, but I was wrong.
So I took a walk and called my good buddy Matt. I basically ranted at him:
“We’re 25 dude, why haven’t we built a business together yet, we always said we would when we were kids!”
… “Come over, I have an idea…”
When Matt arrived, I took him into my office, at the bottom of my garden and I locked the door.
“I will open this door once we have started a business,” I said.
And thus, 2 hours later, Mindstream was born! June 1st, we officially launched and sent the first issue of Mindstream!
To an audience of 5 people.
That first month was slow, with a LOT of work. We grew to 300 subscribers. Great - but not enough. At this rate we weren’t going anywhere fast. But I was incredibly confident. Matt is an exceptional copywriter, and I knew the product was good.
So we kept going, made some incredible friends on LinkedIn, and worked hard on my content.
I spent hours and hours and hours (seriously) creating on LinkedIn, while Matt made the newsletter, never skipping a single day. Many of you from LinkedIn joined us at Mindstream, so thank you to all of you.
Consistency is the key to success. I firmly believe that, and it has proven itself true with Mindstream.
Here we are, 4 months down the line. Now we have 8,000 of you in the Mindstream community. We have a profitable, growing business.
So, we’ve decided we’re taking the leap - we’re f*cking doing this!
Me and Matt are going full-time on Mindstream. In just a couple of weeks, this will be both of our full-time jobs.
There is one lesson I want you to take from this:
JUST F*CKING DO IT!
There is no better time than now. You will probably fail. But without my past failures, I couldn’t have success with Mindstream.
So what’s next?!
Now that Mindstream is our main focus, things are going to get interesting.
We are getting serious with advertising, SEO, web design and everything else.
Myself and Matt will be launching on Twitter, and YouTube soon after.
With more focus and most importantly TIME, the quality of the newsletter is going improve tenfold.
We can’t get wait to build Mindstream into the #1 AI newsletter in the world!

Access web search on ChatGPT
Okay, this isn’t strictly a prompt tip. But if you’re a ChatGPT power user you need to check this out immediately.
First thing to note, as of right now you need a ChatGPT plus subscription to use this, but it will eventually roll out to everybody.
ChatGPT can now search the web for answers. Just go into your settings, and then under “new features” enable web search with Bing. Now start a new chat on GPT 4.0, and select the web browsing model.
Bingo! Now ChatGPT can perform web searches to help you find what you need. Try asking it about the weather this weekend, the most recent sports scores, and anything else that has taken place since September 2021!
💥 OPENAI & JONY ARE MAKING SOMETHING BIG!
OpenAI and Jony Ive (the legendary iPhone designer) are in talks with Softbank over a $1B deal to create an AI device.
It isn’t clear what exactly this could be, but with Ive’s involvement, it’s clear they want something akin to “the iPhone of AI”.
Sam Altman has tapped Ive’s company LoveFrom, which the designer founded when he left Apple in 2019, to develop the ChatGPT creator’s first consumer device, according to three people familiar with the plan.
They hope to create a more natural and intuitive user experience for interacting with AI, in the way that the iPhone’s innovations in touchscreen computing unleashed the mass-market potential of the mobile internet.
This is HUGE. OpenAI could be about to drop the most game-changing device since the original iPhone.
