Facebook is trying to be cool again
Facebook is adding new AI features that let users animate profile pictures, restyle Stories and Memories, and use animated backgrounds in text posts.
With animated profile pictures, you an turn a still photo into a short motion effect using options like “wave,” “confetti,” or “party hat.”
Meta says it works best with a clear photo of one person facing the camera.
More styles will be added later this year.
Facebook is also updating its Restyles tool for Stories and Memories.
Users can type what changes they want or choose from preset looks like “anime” or “low-poly.”
