Ever heard of medicine design?
The UK Government’s Sovereign AI Fund has invested in Isomorphic Labs, a London-based company using AI to help design new medicines.
The investment is part of a wider funding round announced on 12 May 2026.
Isomorphic Labs is working on AI tools that could help speed up drug discovery and support research into serious diseases.
The company was founded by Sir Demis Hassabis, the Nobel Prize-winning AI researcher behind DeepMind.
Its work builds on AlphaFold, the DeepMind AI system known for predicting protein structures, which was a major breakthrough in science.
