ANTHROPIC

Claude just moved inside your company’s data

Anthropic has signed a new multi-year AI partnership worth $200 million with Snowflake.

The deal brings Anthropic’s Claude models directly into Snowflake’s platform, making them available to Snowflake’s enterprise customers.

Claude Sonnet 4.5 will run Snowflake Intelligence, Snowflake’s built-in AI service.

Customers will also be able to use other models, including Claude Opus 4.5, to analyse text, images, and other data types, as well as to build their own AI agents inside Snowflake.

Both companies say the aim is to let businesses use advanced AI inside the secure data systems they already operate.

The partnership is also being rolled out as a joint effort to bring AI agents to more enterprise teams.

In brief:

  • Claude is now built directly into Snowflake’s enterprise AI tools.

  • The partnership targets secure AI use inside business data systems.

  • Anthropic continues to focus on large enterprise customers.

Are we getting the office keys?

This deal fits into Anthropic’s wider focus on selling to large organisations rather than individual users.

That strategy differs from rivals like OpenAI, which has taken a more consumer-led path to growth.

In the past year, Anthropic has also partnered with Deloitte to roll out Claude to its workforce and with IBM to embed its models into software products.

A July survey by Menlo Ventures found that many enterprises currently favour Anthropic’s models over other major AI providers.
