Canva is now chat-first. That’s not a typo

Claude AI just got a design upgrade. It now connects directly with Canva, so users can create and edit designs by simply describing what they want.

Whether it’s building a presentation, resizing an image, or filling in a branded template, it all happens inside the Claude chat; no need to switch tabs.

This Canva link-up is the latest in a line of integrations for Claude, which already connects to Figma, Notion, Stripe, and Prisma.

To use it, you’ll need a paid Canva account ($15/month) and a paid Claude subscription ($17/month).

Once connected, Claude can also search your Canva docs and presentations for keywords, summarise them, and help you get your work done faster, all using natural language prompts.

The whole thing runs on MCP, an open-source protocol often described as the “USB-C port for AI.”

In brief:

  • Claude now supports Canva design tasks and summaries via chat

  • Users need both a paid Claude and Canva account to access the features

  • The integration is powered by MCP, a universal standard for linking AI tools

No more 47 open tabs

It’s what gives Claude secure access to your Canva content and allows different apps to plug into each other with ease.

Companies like Anthropic, Microsoft, and Figma are already on board, preparing for a future where AI agents are part of everyday tools.

So you’re telling me I can make a whole pitch deck while trauma-dumping to a chatbot? Love that for me.
