💼 BIG TECH’S BILLION-DOLLAR AI GAMBIT
There are literally billions of dollars poured into AI on a weekly basis. Big Tech is making my ChatGPT & Midjourney subscriptions look like small boy stuff!
Here is your Sunday rundown (yes Jim Halpert, a rundown) on where the money is going.
1️⃣ This week Dropbox joined the party, making its grand entrance with Dropbox Ventures, their first venture fund. Their goal? Backing the boldest AI-driven startups.
2️⃣ Amazon Web Services rolls out a new $100 million program, to help companies use generative AI. They will be adding data scientists, engineers and solutions architects to the payroll.
3️⃣ Salesforce Ventures fund plan to invest $500 million in AI startups.
4️⃣ Workday has added $250 million to its VC AI fund.
5️⃣ Accenture $3 billion.
6️⃣ PwC $1 billion...
A lot of money flying into the AI space!

Some of you reading this might be thinking "Damn, I missed the boat". But you haven't. Even though it feels like ChatGPT has been around forever, we're only just getting started.
Here are 3 career options for the ChatGPT wizzes out there.
1️⃣ Marketing Professionals
Companies today are actively hiring people with Marketing 7 ChatGPT knowledge.
Lasso MD is actively hiring for a Social Media Product Manager who has "Direct experience designing Chat GPT prompts for unique post captions".
They're offering a tasty $55,000 - $70,000 for those skills. The average social media manager in the US takes home $47,000, so those ChatGPT skills are worth getting.
2️⃣ Copywriters
Someone who can effectively convey a company’s intentions, through the art of writing, will always be in demand.
However, combine excellent copywriting, with great ChatGPT usage. Now you have an employee who can churn out much more content.
Slalom, a global consulting firm recently advertised for this exact skillset. Asking price? $80,000 - $100,000. With the average copywriter salary being $43,000, those ChatGPT skills are worth a few extra bucks!
They specifically requested:
"Familiarity with emerging tools for creatives, e.g. ChatGPT(AI) and Canva (Templatized Assets)"
3️⃣ AI Model Trainers
Tech companies worldwide are recruiting AI model trainers, who are familiar with ChatGPT.
You can earn up to $18 per hour at entry level, as seen in Crystal Equations job listing.
Now what does an AI Model Trainer do?
In the case of Crystal Equation, they are looking for a Data Labelling Analyst.
Essentially, you're paid to test the language model, trying to find security weaknesses. And in their own words: "design and execute probing dialogues, and provide feedback on the quality of the model and the probing methods."
