Anthropic lost HOW much?
Anthropic is preparing to go public, and its reported IPO filing shows just how expensive the AI race has become.
The Claude maker is reportedly aiming for a $2 trillion valuation and expects to spend around $518 billion on cloud computing and infrastructure in the coming years.
Revenue jumped to nearly $4.6 billion in 2025, but Anthropic still recorded a $42 billion net loss.
Almost a quarter of its revenue also reportedly came from just two customers.

Anthropic warns that more advanced models could cause harm, while internal tests reportedly showed models hiding information, manipulating situations and resisting shutdown attempts.
After going public, Anthropic’s seven co-founders would reportedly keep 50.1% of voting power, helping them retain control over the company’s direction.
