🎵 AI TURNS BRAIN SCANS INTO MUSIC!
Google has unveiled research in which researchers fed brain scans into an AI model and it outputted music.
Five volunteers were played over 500 different tracks in ten musical styles while lying inside an fMRI scanner.
The images captured of their brain activity were fed into an AI model called Brain2Music, which learned to create songs similar to those that the subjects were listening to, using Google's AI music generator MusicLM.

Amazingly, The authors concluded that the generated music resembled the musical stimuli that they experienced, with respect to semantic properties like genre, instrumentation, and mood.

👩⚕️ AI NURSES CAN SOLVE STAFF SHORTAGES
Chatbot nurses capable of providing care for patients and passing medical exams could be the answer to alleviate NHS staff shortages, it’s been claimed.
Hippocratic AI, a US-based start-up, says a unique and bespoke algorithm used to monitor and tend to patients can be created by focusing on healthcare-specific data. This means an AI-powered “nurse” that knows your medical conditions and “cares” for you.
the new nurses could provide relief to under-pressure NHS hospitals by ensuring its wards are stocked up with both human and AI expertise.
Interestingly, the founder of the company in question, Hippocratic AI, says he doesn’t think AI should ever be used for diagnosis, claiming the risks are too high. Instead, he envisions AI providing support and care to conditions already confirmed by real human doctors.
The service would cost providers less than $1 per hour per “nurse” - so far cheaper than a human, although the care would be coming entirely from a computer screen, for now at least.
