😨 AI RECREATES PINK FLOYD… USING BRAINWAVES
Another mind-boggling story to kick your day off. This one is absolutely nuts honestly.
Scientists have managed to recreate Pink Floyd with AI… using only the brainwaves of the person listening to the song.
It’s a little hard to comprehend. Basically, AI can analyse how our brain reacts to the noise… and reverse that to produce an output sound.
The participants’ brain activity was recorded while they listened to Another Brick in the Wall, Part 1 by Pink Floyd. By comparing the brain signals with the song, the researchers identified recordings from a subset of electrodes that were strongly linked to the pitch, melody, harmony and rhythm of the song.
They then trained an AI to learn links between brain activity and these musical components, excluding a 15-second segment of the song from the training data.
The results? An unbelievably creepy but immediately familiar rendition of the song. Honestly, you have to listen to this, it’s HAUNTING.
So, it looks like AI is going to let us read minds soon…

📚 PROMPT TIP TO TRY TODAY
Every Friday we give you a simple, actionable prompt tip to try over the weekend to get better at using AI.
Think of a better word for me.
Insert your important sentences into ChatGPT and ask it to improve a specific word for you, or find that word that’s on the tip of your tongue.

🤖 GOOGLE ADDING AI TO CHROME
Google is experimenting with an AI addon to Chrome.
The new AI can summarise articles within Chrome, without having to read them all.
Chrome’s AI can already summarise search results for you so that you don’t have to scroll forever to find what you’re looking for, and this new feature is designed to take that further by helping you out after you’ve actually clicked a link.
Google will pull up a set of AI-generated “key points” from an article after you tap an icon at the bottom of the screen. Reading just got easier? Or something.
It’s coming out first on iOS and Android, and coming to desktop Chrome later. This is probably the future of web browsing. I hope it’s fun.
