It’s Mindstream o’clock yet again!

Raising the dead with AI is all the rage and AI Robocop is patrolling in New York… But what’s new with you?

Here is what you need to know about AI today in 5 minutes.

Read it with a huge grin on your face.

Today, we are brought to you by RAD AI!

Marketing is an art, not a science — or, at least it was.

RAD AI tells brands who their customer is, and how to best message them, significantly boosting the ROI of digital content. And 3x revenue growth this year suggests it's working.

Major clients like Accenture, MGM, and Sweetgreen — not to mention 6,000+ investors — already trust RAD including VCs, Fidelity and execs from Google and Amazon.

AI raising the dead! Well.. sort of.

AI is being used to recreate digital avatars of the deceased.

It’s just like that episode of Black Mirror!

A digital version of this?

All the rage

The concept is taking off in China, with multiple firms offering the service. One family who used such a service were the Wus, who used it after their son died unexpectedly at age 22.

Using photos, videos and audio, their son Xuanmo was turned into an avatar, which they can now speak to and hear speak - using the power of AI/

Supposedly, this is helping the mother with her grief.

Why do it?

For the Wus, the answer was simple.

"Is there a solution for the pain of losing a loved one? First, you need to change your perspective," said the father.

“For example, the idea that there are no connections between the departed loved ones and yourself can be changed. The connections exist. If you can believe in this mindset, your pain may lessen".

OUR VIEW:

No judgement here… whatever helps you grieve. Of course, it’s absolutely mental. Sorry I guess that was judging.

Our Reader’s Thoughts

“The NYT one should be beatable. I presume OpenAI's GPT models are accessing NYT through an API which they are paying for. As such, the only question would be whether they are misusing the API access they have or not. Surely, the NYT wouldn't have an open channel to get through a paywall without paying, and if so wouldn't the responsibility to close that gap fall on the NYT?” - Ian

“Verbatim answers of any major publications will cause problems for Open AI for sure” - Amit

💻 PROMPT TIP TO TRY TODAY

Every Friday we give you a simple, actionable prompt tip to try over the weekend to get better at using AI.

4/10

When getting text output from ChatGPT, tell it you rated that answer 4/10, and ask it to aim for at least a 9/10.

You will often get a superior second result!

💡AI-NSPIRATIONAL QUOTE

Success is not defined by external accolades but by the impact you have on the hearts and minds of others.

Your daily pearl of wisdom from ChatGPT.

A new AI police robot has been let loose in New York.

Yes, Robocop is finally real.

The trial is seeing a robot patrolling a single subway station in NYC, recording as it moves around.

Hands up!

The four-wheeled bot can move at 3mph - yeah, it’s not going to catch anybody - and has 4 cameras to catch crime with!

It also features a button that citizens can press to connect to a real police officer… I mean can’t they just call 911?

Interestingly, the robot costs an estimated $9 an hour to operate - far cheaper than a human police officer.

Now it all makes sense.

These things will be everywhere soon!

OUR VIEW:

The future is nigh… I mean this is kind of cool.
