TODAY IN MINDSTREAM:

A school head has hired a head of AI for his school, in what is a world first. The job points to a future where AI is deeply involved in the education of our children.

The Headteacher has hired an AI expert to help integrate it into the curriculum and prepare the children for the future. I wish my school was this forward-thinking. Instead, we got taught how to use Microsoft Publisher - the software so bad it spawned the creation of Canva.

The Headteacher said: “We need to prepare them for a life of using and living with AI and robots which have AI installed in them.”

He also said we needed to make our children master promoters. This guy sounds like a regular Mindstream reader!

AI will surely transform learning in so many ways. Although I’m happy I never had to do AI-generated homework customised to me!

Utilise conversation history

In a long conversation, referencing previous messages can help maintain context and improve the model's understanding. You can refer to specific parts of the conversation to avoid repetition or confusion.

AI is being deployed to measure water quality in a new pilot scheme. The scheme has seen sensors placed at strategic points in the water systems, with the data being feedback to an AI model which interprets the data and combines it with satellite imagery to determine pollution levels.

It will predict when the local river system is most vulnerable to things like agricultural runoff, allowing for measures such as asking farms to hold off on applying fertiliser.

The AI has proven more than 90% accurate in test runs. Hopefully, this translates to real-world success. With the help of AI, pollution may become a thing of the past! Bad luck polluting water companies!
