Elon Musk has mysteriously acquired the domain ai.com.
The coveted domain name previously belonged to ChatGPT creators OpenAI, and it’s uncertain exactly when or how Musk has taken ownership.
The domain now redirects to Musk’s own AI venture, xAI, as part of his new “everything is called x” big brain strategy.
What was Elon smoking when he rebranded Twitter?
Curiously, ai.com was only acquired in February by OpenAI, and supposedly for millions of dollars.
Elon must have stumped up a huge sum for them to part with it so quickly.
