🧠 AI BRAIN SURGERY COMING SOON
AI-powered brain surgery is going to be safe and in use within two years, doctors have predicted.
Trainee surgeons are working with a new AI technology, to learn more precise keyhole brain surgery.

Developed at University College London, it highlights small tumours and critical structures such as blood vessels at the centre of the brain.
The government says it could be "a real game-changer" for healthcare in the UK.
The AI system has analysed more than 200 videos of a specialist type of surgery and in 10 months reached a level of experience it would usually take a surgeon 10 years to gain.
Would you let AI do brain surgery on you?

📺 CAN AI RESTORE OLD DOCTOR WHO?
Doctor Who is really old, in case you didn’t know. The first season aired in 1963 and broadcast in low resolution, with most of the original film being lost.
This means many episodes are trapped in a blurry, low-resolution format.
So, can AI offer a way of bringing these old episodes into modern form?
Peter Crocker is a member of the Doctor Who Restoration Team, and is in charge of fixing the older episodes for Blu-ray release. He already uses AI "appropriately and sparingly", but warns that AI is not a magic bullet, due to the severely limited information in the oldest episodes.
Current AI upscaling is designed for bringing movies into 4K, the issue is that old Doctor Who is in only available in much lower quality than films of the same era.
In the future, AI might be able to guess what detail might be present in the low-detail areas, but for now, no solution is good enough to transform these old episodes into modern marvels.
In other words, AI needs to get better at Doctor Who remastering. Come guys, we all need this.
