THE SUPER BOWL
Advertising just crossed into full AI territory
Svedka is bringing back its famous robot character after nearly 13 years, and this time it’s appearing in a Super Bowl advert made mostly with AI.
The 30-second spot shows two robots, Fembot and Brobot, dancing at a party with humans.
The dance was chosen from a TikTok-style contest, and the advert was created mainly through AI prompts instead of a traditional film shoot.
Svedka’s owner, Sazerac, says this may be the first Super Bowl advert made primarily with AI.
Here’s what you should know:
Svedka’s Super Bowl ad was made mostly with AI
The goal is conversation, not cost-cutting
AI is becoming a bigger part of major advertising
Welcome to the robot halftime show
The company expects mixed reactions but sees the ad as a way to start conversation.
Interestingly, the advert’s message is still pro-human, encouraging people to put down their phones and connect in real life.
The brand says AI wasn’t used to save money or time, but to create a specific look and feel.
As AI becomes more common in advertising, Svedka’s campaign could signal what’s coming next for big-budget commercials.
Super Bowl commercials are basically tech demos now LOL.- MG
