😳 85% OF PEOPLE WON’T USE AI
A new study suggests that 85% of people won’t use AI, at least when it comes to their purchasing habits.
In fact, the study found that AI recommendations made people LESS likely to buy things - ouch.
All hail the algorithm?
If offered an AI recommendation, 60% said it wouldn’t make them more likely to buy something, while 17% said it would, in fact, make them less likely to make a purchase.
The problem being, brands are deploying AI left, right and centre to try and influence purchasing habits. In other words, they’re all shooting themselves in the foot, according to this research at least.
An AI fail!

AI - not the silver bullet for everything?
How will these trends change over time? Is AI about to bust in the e-commerce sector?
Time will tell, but it seems like the public is uncertain on the use for AI, for now at least.
OUR VIEW:
AI isn’t the solution to everything. Clearly, people want AI to stay away from their shopping habits. Let’s do some research of our own…
