AI DESIGN
Adobe is updating its Photoshop software with new AI tools through the Firefly Image 3 model - making it easier than ever to manipulate your favourite photos.
These tools are now available in the Photoshop beta app and will be released to all users later this year.
One standout feature is the Reference Image tool, which lets users upload an image to guide the AI in producing similar styles and colours.
This approach simplifies the design process by using images directly instead of detailed text prompts.
Adobe is also focusing on user responsibility for copyright, introducing a "do not train" tag under its Content Authenticity Initiative.
This ensures that the tool is safe for commercial use, with reference images not being used to train the AI.
Other new features in the beta include Generate Background and Enhance Detail, which improve backgrounds for product photos and revised sharpness, respectively.
The Generate Similar tool uses existing images to create new, similar content, and Generate Image allows for creating new images from text descriptions.
Try it on the web, too
Adobe’s latest Firefly model, is also available outside Photoshop through a web app, offering photorealistic quality with improved lighting and detail.
It's better at interpreting long text prompts and produces clearer text in images.

This is basically the "Describe a Movie Plot to Your Friend Who Hasn't Seen It" feature for design.
