How AI is changing media forever

AI is making waves in the media game, and it’s not just robots stealing the spotlight. 

Almar Latour, the head at Dow Jones and the publisher of The Wall Street Journal, spilt the details at the World Economic Forum in Davos. 

He’s all about AI building a stronger connection between media and the public, especially when trust is on shaky ground.

AI made vs human-made

On the same panel, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan stirred the pot on AI-generated content, urging the industry to figure out what’s made by machines versus what’s human-made.

And he dropped some facts on intellectual property and artist ownership - basically, we need to sort out who owns what - and the current copyright laws aren’t fit for purpose.

Teamwork makes the dream work…

Almar spoke briefly about the New York Times and OpenAI court debacle and that we all should work together rather than be at each other’s throats. 

In a nutshell, AI is the buzz at this year's World Economic Forum, and it's not just a side note. 

The talk has shifted from broad strokes to getting down and dirty in the nitty-gritty of AI in different industries.

One thing is for sure - AI isn’t going anywhere…

Cybertruck disappoints buyers!

The Cybertruck is here… and it is a little bit of a letdown.

Remember that Cybertruck demo where Elon Musk had it drag-race a Porsche while towing another Porsche?

Well… there might be a plot twist in this story. 

According to YouTuber Engineering Explained, it seems Tesla may have pulled a fast one on us. 

The quarter-mile race wasn’t exactly what it seemed. The finish line celebration was at the one-eighth mile marker, not the full quarter-mile. 

Questions on range

Some Cybertruck owners are raising their eyebrows after getting their hands on their shiny new rides. 

Kyle Conner from Out of Spec Motoring did a range test and found the Foundation Series Cybertruck fell short of Tesla’s promised 320-mile range.

The truck hit the highway in around freezing conditions, so I guess… blame it on the cold weather?

What about towing? Well, one brave soul on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum towed a Tesla Model Y on a 6,000-pound trailer and barely got 100 miles… ouch. 

Not as tough as it looks…

Also, guess what! The Cybertruck might not be as tough as it looks. 

The owner’s manual suggests babying it by removing corrosive stuff like bird poop. 

It doesn’t have a clear coat, so any scratches on the stainless steel panels are there to stay. 

Not exactly off-road warrior material, especially when a Cybertruck got stuck in the snow due to a software issue.
