♿️ AI HEALS PARALYSED MAN!

An AI-powered chip has helped a disabled man regain feeling and movement in his arms.

The groundbreaking surgery saw an AI-powered chip implanted in the patient’s brain, giving him movement back after he broke his neck three years ago.

The surgery will give hope to 100M people suffering similar injuries globally.

In a 15-hour surgery last March, doctors implanted five microchips in Thomas' brain. The computer technology, with the help of A.I., reconnected Thomas' brain with his spinal cord and the rest of his body.

"We actually had to have Keith awake during a small portion of the surgery. He felt his thumb, he felt his finger," Dr Ashesh Mehta, Thomas' surgeon, said.

The man is reportedly getting stronger by the day.

🍏 APPLE HATES SAYING “AI”

AI is the best thing since sliced bread. Well, that’s what pretty much every tech company is saying:

During calls after this week’s earnings reports, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai and his team said “AI” 66 times. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and his execs said it 47 times. And on Wednesday, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and the Facebook executive team said the magic phrase 42 times, according to CNBC.

Every big tech company… except one.

Apple hates saying AI. In fact, in Apple’s last earning call “AI” was only used twice - and both times in response to questions. Apple didn’t use the term when it launched its insane AR headset, either.

They prefer using the term machine learning, which is preferred by academics. Is this Apple snobbery?

I think not. One thing that Apple uses to differentiate itself is product naming. I’m not talking about iPhone - I’m talking about terms like “retina display” and “dynamic island”. AI is coming to Apple products, but it’ll come with a shiny new name.

Apple is also probably being cautious here, as the AI boom seemingly caught them off guard.
